What apps are included with Microsoft 365 Subscription?
Many companies are using Microsoft 365 but often don’t take advantage of all those wonderful apps that come with their subscription. If you have a Business Standard or Business Premium subscription, you also have available to you all the business apps which will help you build your business. We’ll look at each of these in this article so you can see which will help you grow.
Firstly, where do we find these apps? If you load Office.com into your web browser, log into your Microsoft 365 account and all the apps are listed down the left-hand side.
Let’s take a look at each one to discover their uses:
What is Microsoft Bookings?
Microsoft Bookings allows customers to directly book appointments with a company. Microsoft Bookings allows users to set up calendars and manage availability for themselves or a group so that others can book appointments with them efficiently.
Bookings can stand alone or integrate with Outlook calendar and email to ensure the accuracy of an individual’s availability and to send event invitations and reminders.
What is Microsoft OneDrive?
Microsoft OneDrive for Collaboration – work on your documents together in real-time. Access your documents for any device and learn how to sync your files and folders.
What is Microsoft Forms?
As the name suggests you can create forms. But there’s a host of other things you can do in Microsoft Forms. You can also make surveys, quizzes and polls. The results collected in real-time automatically provides charts to visualise your data which can also be exported to Excel for in-depth analysis.
What is Microsoft Viva Engage?
Microsoft Viva Engage enhances employee communication and engagement within your organisation. You can connect your employees through communities based on projects, job roles or departments.
What is Microsoft OneDrive?
OneDrive lets you access and edit your files from all of your devices, anywhere. You can access and share your files from your Windows devices which include your Windows computer, Xbox, Surface Hub or HoloLens. The OneDrive app allows you to work with both your personal and work files easily.

What is Microsoft OneNote?
It’s not just a notepad but a lot more powerful than you know!
This is what you can do:
- Notebooks can be organised into sections and pages.
- Notes can contain video, recordings, files, scribbles, clips, web snips and more.
- Notes can be highlighted and annotated.
- You can create a content library.
- You can search your notes.
- You can access your notes via any device from your account.
- You can share with others.
What is Microsoft Planner?
Microsoft Planner offers people a simple and highly visual way to organize teamwork.
Microsoft Planner makes it easy for your team to:
- create new plans.
- organise and assign tasks.
- share files.
- chat about what you’re working on
- updates on progress
Microsoft Planner can be used to manage a marketing event, brainstorm new product ideas, track a project, prepare for a customer visit, or just organise your team more effectively.
What is Microsoft PowerApps?
PowerApps is defined as a suite of apps, services, connectors and data platform that provides a rapid application development environment apps for your business needs. It takes the data you already use to create web and mobile apps. You can build your own from scratch or use one of the many pre-set templates provided using ‘drag and drop’ function to create the app. You don’t have to be a programmer or developer to use it!
Examples of use: Book a room, Expense Approval app, Product showcase.

What is Microsoft Loop?
Microsoft Loop is used to plan, think and create together in a team to create content or work on tasks together. Loop components are support in Teams, Outlook, Word and Whiteboard.
What is Microsoft Power Automate?
Microsoft Power Automate allows you to automate your workflows saving you time in a wide range of ways. There are hundreds of possibilities to set up, from the weather being sent to your phone to automatically arranging meetings.
Examples of use:
- Automated approval process – From approval request to a response (good for holiday requests).
- Automatically convert Word documents to PDF files as soon as they are placed in a designated folder.
- Migrating a simple Excel Table contents to a SharePoint List.
What’s more, you don’t need to learn any code to build these flows.
What is Microsoft Power BI?
Microsoft Power BI allows you to create data dashboards for your team and is your all-in-one data hub. Sales, marketing, service and more all have custom applications for you to create your unique dashboard.
You can create and publish interactive, web-enabled reports and visualizations for an audience which can be viewed on a phone, pc or tablet.
What is a visualization? It can be anything from a chart, graph, map, card, KPI, visual, slicer or table.
By interactive – you can drill down on these visualisations!
What is a dashboard? A dashboard can have several visualizations on it – you give permission to who can see which visualizations.
What is Microsoft SharePoint?
Helps organisation share and manage content so that teamwork can be done anywhere! It’s a place where team members can communicate, exchange data and work together and offers a shared file repository, blog web content management system and Intranet.
A very sophisticated application.
What is Microsoft Stream?
Microsoft Stream is a video hosting application that allows you to upload, embed and share your video content around your team securely. You can share recordings of classes, meetings, presentation, training sessions and other videos that aid your team’s collaboration.
What is Microsoft Sway?
Create and share interactive reports, presentations, personal stories, and more. Sway is an easy-to-use digital storytelling app for creating interactive reports, presentations, personal stories and more. Its built-in design engine helps you create professional designs in minutes. With Sway, your images, text, videos, maps and other multimedia all flow together in a way that enhances your story.
Sway makes your creation look great in any browser, on any screen, and you can share it with your customers and colleagues by simply sending a link.
What is Microsoft Teams?
Microsoft Teams is a group collaboration software that can be used to help teams work together remotely. You can find chat, video conferencing, and other collaboration tools within the app and you can work securely both internally and externally.
What is Microsoft To Do?
Microsoft To Do is a cloud-based task management application. The app allows users to manage their tasks from a smartphone, tablet and computer – so you’re able to access from anywhere!
The app will also feed into your existing Tasks feature in Microsoft Outlook. You can also share task lists with others.
What is Microsoft Copilot?
Discover the real-world business value of AI with Microsoft Copilot. You can work with Copilot and your Microsoft 365 apps to help you work on tasks and enhance productivity. For example you can ask Copilot to summarise documents or emails, draft documents, produce slides and more.
